ABSTRACT: Enhancing vocational education through the use of augmented reality (AR) offers a cutting-edge approach to improve learning experiences and outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of AR in vocational training, identify the specific skills and knowledge areas enhanced by AR, and measure student satisfaction with AR-integrated curricula. A survey design was employed to gather detailed insights from students using AR in their vocational education. The sample size included 200 students from various vocational training programs. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with experience in AR-based learning. The case study was conducted at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria. The findings revealed that AR significantly improved students' engagement, understanding of complex concepts, and practical skills application. Students reported high levels of satisfaction with AR, appreciating its interactive and immersive learning experiences. It was recommended that vocational training institutions incorporate AR into their curricula and continuously explore new AR applications to enhance educational outcomes and keep pace with technological advancements.
